OpusClip Pricing 2026: Free, Starter, Pro and Credits
OpusClip pricing in 2026: Free with 60 credits, Starter at $15 a month, Pro at $29 monthly or $174 a year. What a credit buys and which plan fits your upload hours.

OpusClip costs $0 on Free, $15 a month on Starter and $29 a month on Pro billed monthly, or $174 a year ($14.50 a month) for Pro billed yearly, read on OpusClip's pricing page in October 2026. Business is a custom quote. Every plan is metered in credits, and one credit is one minute of the video you upload, so the real question is how many hours of footage you feed it each month.
Our view: yearly Pro is the plan most buyers should price first. It costs less than a year of Starter and delivers twice the credits, which makes Starter a short-term plan rather than a budget one. Free is a 60-minute monthly demo with a watermark, useful for checking clip quality on your own recordings and little else.
Toolradar data: on OpusClip's Toolradar page, the Starter entry price ranks #4 of 36 (joint) for price among the content marketing tools with a verified entry price, where the median entry plan is $41 a month, as of October 2026. A clipping tool that cheap at entry is unusual; the catch is in how fast the minutes run out.
| Plan | Price (USD) | Credits (upload minutes) | Who it fits |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 60 per month | Testing clip quality; exports carry a watermark and expire after 3 days |
| Starter | $15/mo, monthly billing only | 150 per month | One creator with two or three hours of footage a month |
| Pro, monthly | $29/mo per pack | 300 per month per pack | Weekly podcasts, small teams, anyone who needs 16:9 or 1:1 |
| Pro, yearly | $174/yr per pack ($14.50/mo) | 300 per month per pack, 3,600 a year | The same buyer, committed for a year at half the monthly rate |
| Business | Custom quote | Customized | Teams over the Pro seat cap, SSO, API, MSA |
How OpusClip credits work
A credit buys one minute of processing on the original video, according to OpusClip's credits help article. A 30-minute webinar costs 30 credits whether you keep two clips or twenty, so the bill tracks upload length, not output. Videos under a minute round up to one credit, and partial minutes round down: a 4.5-minute file costs 4.
The cheapest habit is trimming before you upload. The processing timeframe slider lets you send only the segment you want clipped, so a 90-minute stream with a 20-minute Q&A worth mining costs 20 credits instead of 90. Posting to X is the one action that charges on output: 3 credits per clip, per X account, refunded automatically if the post fails or you delete the schedule.
Credits on a monthly plan expire after 60 days, which means unused minutes roll over for one extra month. The help center says yearly plans receive the full year's credits at purchase, valid for 12 months, while the yearly Pro card on the pricing page describes it as a 2-month rollover. Read your own subscription page before you bank on a large carryover. If you cancel, remaining credits still expire on their original date rather than at the end of the billing cycle.
Free: 60 minutes a month, watermark included
The Free plan gives you 60 credits a month, imports from YouTube and local files up to 10 GB, clipping by spoken words only, auto reframe and AI captions with emoji and keyword highlights. Exports go up to 1080p with an OpusClip watermark.
Two limits make it a demo. There is no editor at all, so you cannot fix a caption or a crop, and clips stop being exportable after 3 days. One hour-long podcast a month fits the allowance, but the output is not something a brand would post. Use it to judge whether the clip picks on your own content are worth paying for. Our OpusClip review covers clipping quality in more depth, and the best free AI video makers list has other no-cost options.
There is also a 7-day Pro trial with no credit card required in the countries OpusClip serves at full capacity, per its billing help article. Trial exports keep the watermark, and the trial blocks social posting, team workspaces, music, your own B-roll uploads and 4K, according to the list of features not included in the trial. After 7 days the account drops to Free automatically, per the trial help page, so there is no surprise charge.
Starter at $15 a month: the cheapest watermark-free export
Starter is the first plan whose clips you can post as your own. You get 150 credits a month, watermark-free export, the virality score, the editor, filler and silence removal, one brand template, and posting to YouTube Shorts, TikTok and Instagram. Imports widen to Google Drive, Vimeo, Zoom, Rumble and StreamYard, and clipping reads visual objects, sound and emotion, not only speech.
The ceiling is format and time. Starter exports 9:16 only, so a LinkedIn square or a 16:9 cut needs Pro. Media expires after 29 days, AI image B-roll and stock B-roll are capped at 3 clips a month each, and there is no team workspace. Starter is sold on monthly billing only, which matters for the math below.
Per minute, Starter works out to $0.10 of processing, the monthly fee divided by 150 credits. That suits a creator uploading two or three hours a month who wants to try paid clipping before committing to a year.
Pro: priced per pack, half off on yearly billing
Pro is where OpusClip turns into a production tool. Each pack gives 300 credits a month, 100 GB of fixed storage, uploads up to 30 GB, three aspect ratios (9:16, 1:1 and 16:9), moving-object tracking, custom reframing, export to Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve, the social scheduler across nine networks, video dubbing, AI sound effects and Intercom chat support. AI image B-roll rises to 50 clips a day and stock B-roll is unlimited.
The yearly toggle halves the price. On yearly billing a pack costs half the monthly list price, charged once for the year. OpusClip advertises the yearly saving as 50%, and the allowance per pack stays at 300 credits a month either way, so the discount is pure price. Per minute that is about $0.097 on monthly Pro and about $0.048 on yearly Pro, which delivers 3,600 credits a year.
Packs are how Pro scales. On the pricing page the pack selector goes up to 5 packs on monthly billing and up to 15 on yearly, priced as a straight multiple of one pack. Each pack adds 2 seats up to a maximum of 4 per team workspace, according to the plans help article, so a third pack buys credits but no more people. One pack also comes with 2 brand templates and 6 social account connections; two or more packs raise those to 4 and 12.
Pro adds two practical safety nets. A Pro user can refund a project's credits within 14 days if no clip has been downloaded yet, per the project refund article. Deleting a project, by contrast, refunds nothing. Starter and Free users have no refund route.
Business: custom pricing for teams and APIs
Business publishes no price. OpusClip lists a dedicated processing queue, customized credits and seats, dedicated storage, API and CMS integrations, SSO, a Master Service Agreement, clip analytics, real-time trend analysis, 4K scheduling and download, and a priority Slack channel. The help center points organizations needing more than 10 seats or high volume to the contact form, and ACH or wire transfer is only available on Business.
Budget for a sales call. The jump from Pro is mostly about seats and governance: Pro stops at 4 users, so a content team of six has no self-serve option at all.
Is Starter or yearly Pro cheaper over a year?
Yearly Pro is cheaper. Twelve months of Starter cost $180 for 1,800 credits; one yearly Pro pack costs $6 less and delivers 3,600 credits, plus 16:9 and 1:1 exports, the scheduler and Premiere export. Starter only wins if you expect to stop within the year, or if you cannot pay a year up front.
The trade-off is commitment. A yearly Pro plan cannot be downgraded straight to Starter: the upgrade and downgrade article says you must cancel and resubscribe, and downgrades only take effect at the end of the billing cycle. Going the other way is easier: Starter to Pro is prorated and starts immediately, with the remaining Pro credits for the month added on top.
What OpusClip costs for three real schedules
These scenarios use OpusClip's list prices and its one-credit-per-minute rule. They assume you process the full recording; trimming with the timeframe slider lowers every figure.
| Schedule | Upload minutes per month | Cheapest fit | Monthly billing | Yearly billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo podcaster, four 60-minute episodes | 240 | 1 Pro pack | $29 a month | $174 a year |
| Weekly 2-hour livestream | About 480 | 2 Pro packs (600 credits) | $58 a month | $348 a year |
| Agency clipping 20 hours of client video | 1,200 | 4 Pro packs | $116 a month | $696 a year |
The podcaster is the clearest case: 240 minutes is more than Starter's 150, so Starter fails before the third episode. The livestreamer has 120 spare credits a month on two packs, which roll over and absorb a long special. The agency gets enough credits on four packs but still only 4 seats, so a larger team should ask for a Business quote and compare it with the $696 yearly figure.
OpusClip's own pricing page claims it generates 15 clips on average from an hour-long video. Treat that as the vendor's estimate, not a guarantee, but it means the podcaster's 240 minutes would yield roughly 60 candidate clips a month.

How OpusClip pricing compares with Klap and Vizard
The two rivals meter differently, which is the whole comparison. Klap charges by clips generated, not minutes uploaded: on yearly billing, read in October 2026, Basic is $14 a month for 100 clips, Pro $39 a month for 300 clips and Pro+ $94 a month for 1,000 clips. Its product record sits on Klap's Toolradar page.
| Tool | Entry paid plan, yearly billing | What the meter counts |
|---|---|---|
| OpusClip | Pro, $14.50/mo per pack | 300 upload minutes a month |
| Klap | Basic, $14/mo | 100 clips a month |
| Vizard | Creator, see Vizard's pricing page | Upload minutes (1 credit per minute) |
At nearly the same yearly price, OpusClip suits long recordings you clip heavily, Klap suits short sources where you know you want a fixed number of clips. A two-hour livestream costs OpusClip 120 credits however few clips you keep, while Klap charges only for the clips it makes.
Vizard uses the same one-credit-per-minute rule as OpusClip. Its Free plan also gives 60 credits a month, with 720p export and 3-day storage, so OpusClip's free tier exports at a higher resolution. Vizard advertises 50% off on yearly billing; check its current Creator and Business prices on its own pricing page before comparing, and see Vizard on Toolradar for the product record.
If you also need to edit the full episode, a clipper alone will not do it: our Descript pricing breakdown covers an editor that includes clip creation, and cheaper Descript alternatives lists lower-cost editors. For caption-first short videos recorded on a phone, read the Captions AI review.
Costs and limits that are easy to miss
- Seat cap. Pro tops out at 4 users however many packs you buy; a fifth person means Business.
- X posting costs credits. 3 credits per clip per X account, the only charge tied to output.
- Storage clocks. Free clips stop exporting after 3 days and Starter media expires after 29 days; only Pro keeps a fixed 100 GB.
- No yearly Starter. The only annual plan is Pro, so budget-minded buyers have to commit to the higher tier to get the discount.
- Deleted projects are not refunded. Only Pro's 14-day project refund returns credits, and only before any download.
- Regional pricing. The prices on this page are the US list prices; OpusClip shows lower Pro and Starter prices in some countries, so a quote seen abroad may not match.

How we checked these prices
Louis Corneloup, founder of Dupple and Toolradar, prepared this breakdown for people choosing an OpusClip plan. Prices and plan limits were read in October 2026 on OpusClip's pricing page and in OpusClip's help center articles on credits, plans and upgrades and downgrades. Klap and Vizard figures come from their own pricing pages the same month. The price rank comes from Toolradar's OpusClip record. Dupple has no test lab; nothing here comes from running the product. Publishing rules sit on the AIpresso about page.
FAQ
How much does OpusClip cost in 2026?
OpusClip Free is $0 with 60 credits a month, Starter is $15 a month on monthly billing only with 150 credits, and Pro is $29 a month billed monthly or $174 a year billed yearly, with 300 credits a month per pack. Business has no public price. These are the US list prices on OpusClip's pricing page in October 2026.
What is an OpusClip credit?
One credit is one minute of the original video you upload for processing. A 30-minute file costs 30 credits regardless of how many clips you export. Clips under a minute round up to one credit, partial minutes round down, and posting a clip to X costs 3 credits per X account.
Is OpusClip free?
Yes, there is a permanent Free plan with 60 credits a month, but exports carry a watermark, there is no editor, and clips stop being exportable after 3 days. A 7-day Pro trial without a credit card is also available in many countries; it keeps the watermark and turns into the Free plan when it ends.
Is OpusClip Pro worth it over Starter?
For anyone who will use OpusClip for a year, yes. A yearly Pro pack costs less than twelve months of Starter at $180, and delivers 3,600 credits instead of 1,800, plus 16:9 and 1:1 exports, the social scheduler and up to 4 seats with a second pack. Starter makes sense only for a few months of light use.
Do OpusClip credits roll over?
On monthly plans, credits expire 60 days after they arrive, so unused minutes carry over for one extra month. OpusClip's help center says yearly plans receive the full year's credits up front, valid for 12 months. Cancelling does not shorten that: remaining credits expire on their original date.
How much does OpusClip cost for a team?
Pro includes 2 seats per pack and a maximum of 4 seats per team workspace, so a four-person team needs two packs: $58 a month on monthly billing or $348 a year on yearly billing, with 600 shared credits a month. Teams larger than that, or needing SSO and an MSA, move to the Business plan, which is quoted by sales.
Is OpusClip cheaper than Klap?
At the entry point the yearly prices are close: OpusClip Pro is $14.50 a month per pack for 300 upload minutes, and Klap Basic is $14 a month for 100 clips. OpusClip is better value when you upload long recordings and want many clips from each; Klap fits short sources where you only need a set number of clips.
