Suno Pricing 2026: Free vs Pro vs Premier, Credits and Download Costs
Suno pricing in 2026: Pro and Premier plans, with 20 and 60 monthly downloads. Credits, cost per song and commercial rights, verified October 2026.

Suno costs $0 on Free, $10/mo on Pro and $30/mo on Premier, or $8/mo and $24/mo if you pay yearly, verified on Suno's pricing page in October 2026. Pro makes about 500 songs a month but lets you download only 20 of them, and Premier makes about 2,000 with 60 downloads. Only paid plans carry commercial rights, and those attach to downloaded songs.
Buyers miss that last point: Suno's September 2026 download limits turned the song count into a vanity number: what you pay for is the number of files you can take off the platform and legally use. Aipresso data: of the 9 AI music generators in the live Toolradar guide, the software directory we run, read in October 2026, Suno's Pro plan works out to $0.50 per downloaded song on monthly billing.
Suno plans at a glance
| Plan | Monthly price | Yearly price | Credits | Songs generated | Downloads | Commercial rights |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 50 a day | About 10 a day | None included | No |
| Pro | $10/mo | $96/yr ($8/mo) | 2,500 a month | About 500 a month | 20 a month | Yes |
| Premier | $30/mo | $288/yr ($24/mo) | 10,000 a month | About 2,000 a month | 60 a month | Yes |
Suno's pricing page defaults to the yearly toggle, so the first numbers a visitor sees are the lower yearly rate ($8 and $24), not what a month-to-month subscriber pays. Annual billing is 20% cheaper, and credits and downloads refill every month either way. Taxes are added at checkout.
Songs per plan are our arithmetic, not a Suno promise: Suno's help center says each generation makes two songs for a total of 10 credits, so 5 credits buy one song. A prompt heavy on images or video costs more, and so does Max Mode, so treat the song counts as a ceiling.
Is Suno free?
Yes, and the free plan is generous for experimenting. You get 50 credits a day, enough for five generations and ten songs, on the v6-mini model, with a shared queue and no commercial rights. Suno's terms limit free-plan output to personal, non-commercial use.
The catch is files: free accounts have no monthly downloads, and accounts opened before September 3, 2026 got up to 7 trial downloads that are also non-commercial. Free is a place to decide whether you like the tool, not a way to ship tracks. If a free generator is the real goal, our best free AI music generators page compares the options by daily limits and licence terms.
What does Suno Pro include?
Pro is the plan most solo creators should look at first. It gives 2,500 credits a month, the stronger v6 and v6-wild models, a priority queue with up to 10 jobs at once, stem extraction, custom models, and commercial rights on downloaded songs.
Run the numbers and the cost per generated song is tiny, about $0.02. The cost per downloaded song is the figure that matters, and it is $0.50 on monthly billing ($0.40 yearly), because the download allowance is the real cap. Pro suits someone who iterates a lot and keeps a handful of finished tracks a month: a podcaster after intro music, a YouTuber after a few themes, a songwriter sketching demos.
It does not suit a daily publisher, who needs roughly 30 downloads a month, where Pro stops short.
What does Suno Premier include?
Premier costs three times Pro and gives four times the credits. You get 10,000 credits, 60 downloads a month, Suno Studio with its editing and plugin tools, advanced stem splitting, and uploads up to 30 minutes of audio. The commercial terms match Pro's.
The per-download cost stays at $0.50 on monthly billing, so Premier is not cheaper per file than Pro. What you buy is headroom: three times the downloads and far more room to regenerate. It makes sense for a creator who ships often, or who works in Suno Studio, where workflows are exempt from the download limits. A casual user paying for Premier is paying for credits they will not spend.
How Suno download charges work
Suno's download rules are the source of most of the recent confusion, so here is the mechanism in plain terms. Each paid plan includes a monthly download allowance that resets on your billing date, and unused downloads do not roll over. Yearly subscribers still receive their allowance monthly.
A few rules soften the cap:
- Downloading the same song again, in any format, does not use another download.
- Stems for a song count as part of that song's single download.
- Failed or interrupted downloads are not counted.
- Streaming and sharing a song on Suno stays unlimited on every plan.
When you run out, you can buy extra downloads. Individually purchased downloads and download packs do roll over, which is useful if your usage is lumpy. Suno does not publish a price list for extra downloads or credit top-ups on its pricing page; the amounts appear in your account after you subscribe, so check them before assuming a heavy month is affordable. Purchased top-up credits do not expire but need an active subscription to use.
Credits are separate from downloads, and once a Pro or Premier subscriber spends the monthly allotment, Suno keeps 50 bonus credits a day flowing until the billing cycle renews, which means you can keep generating even when you cannot keep downloading.
Can you use Suno songs commercially?
Yes on Pro and Premier, with conditions that matter. Suno's terms grant commercial use only for output you obtained through a permitted download under your plan's allowance. A song you generated but never downloaded is not covered, and a remix is limited to personal, non-commercial use whatever plan you hold.
The good news is that rights on a downloaded song are perpetual. Suno's terms say they are not affected by cancelling or by a later change to allotments or pricing. You can subscribe for the month you need, download what you want, and keep the licence for those files.
Suno's help center lists monetizing, distributing to streaming platforms, using songs in film, TV or games, and selling an album as allowed uses on a paid plan. It also warns that commercial rights are not copyright: AI-generated music may not qualify for copyright protection in the US, because registration depends on human authorship such as lyrics you wrote yourself. Streaming platforms add their own rules, so read the terms of wherever you upload. This page is not legal advice.
Can you put Suno songs on Spotify?
Suno's own help center says a paid subscriber can distribute downloaded songs to streaming platforms, so the answer from Suno's side is yes on Pro or Premier, and no on Free. Whether a given service accepts the upload is its decision, and a distributor may ask about AI disclosure, which Suno does not control. Keep the downloaded files and your plan receipts as a record.
Suno vs Udio and other music tools on price
Suno is no longer the clear value leader once downloads are counted. Udio prices its Standard and Pro tiers identically to Suno's Pro and Premier, but downloads of audio, video and stems have been disabled there since its October 2025 Universal Music Group partnership. For anyone who needs a file, that is a bigger difference than any price gap.
| Tool | Entry paid plan | Higher plan | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Suno | Pro, from the plan table | Premier, from the plan table | Downloads are capped monthly, commercial rights apply to downloaded songs |
| Udio | Standard, $10/mo | Pro, $30/mo | 2,400 or 6,000 credits a month, downloads disabled |
| ElevenLabs Music | Starter, $6/mo | Creator, $22/mo | Starter is commercial but excludes streaming |
| Mubert | Creator, $14/mo | Pro, $39/mo | Creator is non-commercial, Pro cannot publish to Spotify or Apple Music |
Udio's credits do go further on paper: a pair of 32-second clips costs 2 credits and a pair of roughly two-minute songs costs 4. If you want to listen and iterate inside the app, Udio is competitive. If you need an MP3 you can post, Suno is the one of the two that lets you take it.
ElevenLabs Music is the cheapest paid entry here, and the $6 Starter plan allows commercial use but not streaming distribution, so it works for video background tracks and not for releasing singles. Mubert is built for background and brand music rather than songs with vocals, and its commercial plans prohibit publishing to streaming platforms. The right pick depends on whether you are releasing songs or scoring content. For the wider ranking, see our best AI music generators review.
Is Suno Premier worth it?
Premier is worth it when you hit the download ceiling before the credit ceiling, which is what the math says happens to anyone publishing more finished tracks than Pro allows. A daily publisher needs about 30 downloads, which Pro cannot cover and Premier can.
For everyone else, Pro is the better buy. Suno's own pricing page frames Premier as best value, but that describes credits, and credits are not what limits a normal creator. Use the free plan to test, move to Pro when you have tracks you will actually publish, and move up only if you keep running out of downloads.
Suno costs by creator type
The bill is easy to misjudge, so here is what each kind of user pays over a year.
| Who you are | Plan that fits | Yearly cost (paid yearly) |
|---|---|---|
| Hobbyist trying prompts | Free | $0 |
| Podcaster needing a few themes | Pro | $96 |
| YouTuber posting daily | Premier | $288 |
A daily publisher saves $72 a year by paying annually on Premier compared with paying month to month. Yearly billing locks you in for twelve months, so do not choose it until you know you will keep using the tool.

How we checked these prices
Louis Corneloup, founder of Dupple and Toolradar, wrote this breakdown. Suno's plan prices, credits, downloads and commercial rights come from suno.com/pricing, checked in October 2026, and the monthly and yearly dollar figures come from the USD plan data on that page. Credit costs, download rules and rights come from Suno's help center articles on how downloads work, monthly downloads, download roll-over, v6 credit costs, paid-plan rights and plan credits, plus Suno's terms of service.
Udio figures come from Udio's subscription article, credits article and Universal Music Group changes. ElevenLabs figures come from elevenlabs.io/music, and Mubert's from mubert.com/render/pricing. Cost per song is plan price divided by songs or downloads, rounded.

FAQ
How much does Suno cost in 2026?
Free is $0, Pro is $10/mo and Premier is $30/mo on monthly billing. Paying yearly drops them to $96 and $288 a year. All figures are USD from Suno's pricing page in October 2026, before tax.
How many songs do you get on Suno Pro?
About 500 a month. Pro gives 2,500 credits and each generation of two songs costs 10 credits, though images, video prompts and Max Mode raise the cost. You can only download 20 of them each month.
Do Suno songs have commercial rights?
On Pro and Premier, for songs you download within your allowance, and those rights survive cancelling. Free-plan output is personal and non-commercial, and remixes are personal-use only on every plan.
How do Suno download charges work?
Each paid plan includes a monthly download allowance, and extra downloads can be bought once you reach it. Re-downloading a song, grabbing multiple formats and taking its stems all count as one download. Suno does not list prices for extra downloads on its pricing page.
Is there a free alternative to Suno?
Udio has a free tier with 10 daily credits and a 100-credit monthly limit, but it has disabled downloads, so you can listen and not export. We compare the options in our guide to free AI music generators.
Is Suno Premier worth it over Pro?
Only if Pro's download cap is too tight for you or you work in Suno Studio. Per downloaded song the two plans cost the same on monthly billing, so you are paying for volume, not a lower rate.
Can I cancel Suno and keep my songs?
You keep the commercial rights on songs you already downloaded, since Suno's terms say they are perpetual. You lose the monthly credits, downloads and paid models when the plan ends, and undownloaded songs stay streamable but not licensed for commercial use.
