- Free (best for: Testing whether the product can build your idea): $0
- Pro, 100 credits (best for: One person shipping a real app): $25 a month or $250 a year
- Pro, higher tiers (best for: Heavy iteration or several apps): 200 credits up to $2,250 for 10,000 a month
- Business, 100 credits (best for: A department that needs SSO and roles): $50 a month or $500 a year
Lovable Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year, and every paid plan adds 5 free build credits a day on top. Business doubles that for the same 100 credits plus SSO and role-based access, and both plans climb through eleven tiers to 10,000 credits a month. The free plan gives 5 build credits a day, capped at 30 a month. Prices read on Lovable's pricing page and documentation on October 17, 2026.
The number that matters is not the sticker but what one credit buys. Lovable publishes its own examples: a button restyle is 0.50 credits, a new component 0.90, sign-up and login 1.20, a landing page with three images 1.70. At those rates the 100-credit Pro plan is roughly sixty to a hundred meaningful changes a month, before the daily grant. This page lays out every tier, the top-up prices, the rollover rules, what Business charges extra for, and how much a realistic first app costs.

Free is a daily allowance, not a monthly one
The free plan hands out 5 build credits each day and stops at 30 for the month, so the practical ceiling is six working days of light building. Unused daily credits expire at the end of the day and do not roll over, which punishes a weekend builder who works in one long Saturday session: that Saturday has 5 credits whatever happened on Friday. The free plan also includes 20 Cloud credits a month for hosting and the built-in backend, 4 credits for AI features inside your published app and 1 for connectors.
Free users get unlimited workspace members, workspace-private projects, Git sync and community support. What they do not get is the code: editing and downloading the code are Pro features, and so is a custom domain. Free is enough to find out whether Lovable understands your idea; it is not enough to ship it under your own name. A chat-mode daily allowance sits alongside the build credits, and it resets at 00:00 UTC without rolling over either.
Pro: eleven tiers from 100 to 10,000 credits
Pro is where the product opens up. Beyond the credits, it adds code editing and downloading, custom domains and design systems, the four features a solo founder needs to put a real product in front of users. Every tier keeps the 5 daily build credits, and on Pro the daily grant has no monthly cap, so a Pro user who builds every day collects about 150 extra credits a month on top of the plan.
| Monthly credits | Monthly billing | Annual billing |
|---|---|---|
| 100 | $25 | $250 ($21 a month) |
| 200 | $50 | $500 ($42 a month) |
| 400 | $100 | $1,000 ($84 a month) |
| 800 | $200 | $2,000 ($167 a month) |
| 1,200 | $294 | $2,940 ($245 a month) |
| 2,000 | $480 | $4,800 ($400 a month) |
| 3,000 | $705 | $7,050 ($588 a month) |
| 4,000 | $920 | $9,200 ($767 a month) |
| 5,000 | $1,125 | $11,250 ($938 a month) |
| 7,500 | $1,688 | $16,880 ($1,407 a month) |
| 10,000 | $2,250 | $22,500 ($1,875 a month) |
Two patterns in that table are worth reading before you pick. First, the price per credit falls as you climb: 100 credits cost 25 cents each, 1,200 credits cost about 24.5 cents, and 10,000 credits cost 22.5 cents. The discount for volume is real but small, so buy the tier that matches a normal month and top up in a busy one rather than overbuying to save three cents a credit. Second, annual billing is exactly ten times the monthly price on every tier, which is two months free, with the catch that annual plan credits expire one month after the annual period ends.
Students and teachers get 50% off the 100-credit Pro plan for up to twelve months, on monthly billing only, after verification. That makes the entry tier the cheapest paid way into Lovable for anyone with a school email.
Business: the same credits at twice the price, plus governance
Business starts at $50 a month for 100 credits and tops out at $4,300 for 10,000, with annual billing again at ten months' price: $500 a year on the first tier, $43,000 on the last. The credits are identical in what they build. What you pay double for is role-based access, single sign-on, a security center, personal projects that sit outside the shared workspace, and access to the Lovable API.
Lovable says plainly that credits are priced higher on Business plans, which is also why a workspace moving from Pro to Business sees its credit consumption fall: the same work is expressed in fewer, more expensive credits. The practical test is simple. A team that needs SSO or an API buys Business; a team that only needs several people in one workspace stays on Pro, because unlimited members are included on every plan, Free included, and the admin can set a monthly credit limit per member.
What a credit buys, and what a first app costs
Lovable charges credits per request, sized to the job, and shows the cost of every message in the chat. The pricing page's own examples run from 0.50 credits to turn a button gray, 0.90 to add a component, 1.20 to add authentication with sign-up, login and routes, to 1.70 to generate a landing page with three generated images, a theme and five sections. Small, focused edits cost less than large generations, so a vague prompt that triggers a rewrite of half the app is the expensive kind.
A worked scenario at Lovable's published example rates, built for this page: a landing page (1.70), authentication (1.20), five components at 0.90 each (4.50), and twenty styling tweaks at 0.50 each (10.00) comes to 17.40 credits. A simple first app with login costs under 20 credits at those example rates, which the free plan covers in four days of daily grants and the Pro plan covers five times over in its first month. Where buyers overspend is iteration, not the first build: forty rounds of "change this and that" on a growing app is where the 100-credit tier runs out.
The balance is one pool. Building, chatting, hosting through Cloud, the AI features your published app calls, and connector usage all draw on the same credits, with the usage-specific grants (daily build, monthly Cloud, monthly AI) consumed before plan credits. That is convenient for budgeting and means a popular app with heavy Cloud use eats into build credits once the 20 monthly Cloud credits are gone.
Rollover, expiry, refunds and leaving
Unused monthly plan credits roll over at the end of each billing cycle as long as the subscription stays active, but they are not permanent: monthly plan credits expire two months after they were issued, annual plan credits expire one month after the annual period ends, and top-up credits last twelve months from purchase. Daily build credits and the monthly Cloud and AI grants never roll; they refresh on their own schedule.
Refunds do not exist outside the law. Lovable's FAQ says subscription fees and credits are non-refundable except where a refund is legally required, that credits cannot be redeemed for cash, and that cancelling stops future charges while the current period runs to its end. Downgrading is a workspace setting and takes effect when the period closes. The good news for anyone leaving: Lovable states that your apps, code and content are yours, subject to open-source licenses, and Pro users can download the code outright while Free users rely on Git sync.
How Lovable compares on price
Against Bolt, the comparison most buyers make, the entry sticker is identical and the meters differ: Bolt Pro gives 10M tokens a month and charges by what the model reads, while Lovable charges per request. Bolt's Teams plan is $30 a member per month with tokens that are not shared; Lovable's unlimited members on a single Pro plan is the cheaper way to put three people on one app. Our Bolt vs Lovable page walks through both meters.
Against a general assistant, the question is whether you want hosting in the bill. ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini will write the same React code for a flat monthly fee, but you deploy it yourself; our ChatGPT pricing, Claude pricing and Gemini pricing pages carry those tiers. For prompting either kind of tool cheaply, how to write AI prompts covers the specificity that keeps credit spend down, best AI agents covers the tools that run tasks rather than build apps, and best AI tools for business is the wider stack view.
How we checked these prices
Louis Corneloup, founder of Dupple and Toolradar, wrote this breakdown. Every price and limit comes from Lovable's pricing page, the subscription plans, credits and FAQ pages of Lovable's documentation, read on October 17, 2026. The Bolt figures come from Bolt's pricing page the same day. The 157 tool count is from Toolradar's live application development platforms ranking that month. The worked scenario uses Lovable's own example credit costs and is our arithmetic, not a measured build. More on how we publish is on the AIpresso about page.
FAQ
How much does Lovable cost in 2026?
Lovable Pro starts at $25 a month for 100 credits, or $250 a year, and runs through eleven tiers to $2,250 a month for 10,000 credits. Business starts at double that for 100 credits and tops out at $4,300. Every paid plan adds 5 free build credits a day, and the free plan gives 5 a day up to 30 a month. Enterprise is a custom contract.
Is Lovable free?
Yes, with a daily meter. The free plan grants 5 build credits a day up to 30 a month, 20 Cloud credits a month for hosting, 4 AI credits and 1 connector credit, with unlimited workspace members and Git sync. It does not include code editing, code download or a custom domain, which start on Pro.
What does one Lovable credit buy?
Credits are charged per request and sized to the job. Lovable's own examples: 0.50 credits to restyle a button, 0.90 to add a component, 1.20 to add sign-up and login with routes, and 1.70 to generate a landing page with three images and five sections. The cost of each message is shown in the chat before you send the next one.
Do Lovable credits roll over?
Unused monthly plan credits roll over while the subscription is active, but monthly plan credits expire two months after issuance, annual plan credits one month after the annual period ends, and top-up credits twelve months after purchase. The 5 daily build credits expire at the end of each day, and the monthly Cloud and AI grants do not roll either.
What is the difference between Lovable Pro and Business?
Both include the same credit tiers and the daily grant. Business charges twice the Pro price for each tier and adds role-based access, single sign-on, a security center, personal projects and the Lovable API. Workspace members are unlimited on both, so a team buys Business for governance, not for seats.
Does Lovable offer refunds or a student discount?
No refunds except where the law requires one; cancelling stops future charges and the plan runs to the end of the paid period. Verified students and teachers get 50% off the 100-credit Pro plan for up to twelve months on monthly billing.
