AI Subscription Prices 2026: What 37 AI Tools Cost

AI subscription prices 2026 for 37 tools, read on vendor pricing pages October 10, 2026: free plans, entry paid plans and annual savings compared.

Last updated October 11, 2026

AIpresso data: of the 37 AI tools we read on each vendor's own pricing page on October 10, 2026, 28 have a free plan, and the median entry paid plan costs $20 a month. Every figure is in US dollars, and each tool name in the table links to the page it was read on.

A budget decision needs two numbers per tool: the entry paid plan, which is the cheapest way in, and the top listed plan, which shows what heavy use costs. This page gives both for every tool we could confirm in USD. It is a snapshot of list prices.

What the 37 prices show

  • 28 of 37 tools (76%) have a free plan. Seven more offer only a free trial, and two list no free tier. A trial ends, so it does not change what a monthly budget costs. For those seven, budget from the entry paid plan once the trial ends.
  • The median entry paid plan costs $20 a month. Eight tools start at $10 a month or less. The cheapest is Google AI Plus at $4.99 a month, followed by ElevenLabs Starter at $6 and Wordtune Advanced at $6.99.
  • Billing annually lowers the monthly price by a median 20%. 21 tools show both a monthly and an annual entry price. The average saving is 27.7%, from 10% on Replit's Core plan to 67.8% on Beautiful.ai's Pro plan.
  • The top listed plan costs 3.0 times the entry plan at the median. That median covers the tools that show both a monthly entry price and a monthly top price. Copy.ai's Scale plan at $3,000 a month is the highest figure in the set, and it is a business tier, so it marks the ceiling rather than the typical case.

Prices by category

Assistants and research

Three chat assistants are in the set. Gemini's AI Plus plan is $4.99 a month, Mistral's Le Chat Pro is $14.99, and Claude's Pro plan is $20 a month or $17 billed annually. Claude's Max plan starts at $100 a month for five times Pro's usage.

Research tools price differently. Elicit's Pro plan is $49 per user a month billed annually, and its Scale plan is $169 on the same basis. Scite's Basic plan is $20 a month billed yearly. If research is the job, budget for the research tier rather than a chat plan.

Coding tools

GitHub Copilot's Pro plan is $10 a month, and its Max plan is $100 a month, ten times the entry price. Replit Core is $20 a month ($18 billed annually), and its Pro plan is $100 a month. Bolt's Pro plan is $25 a month, and its team tier is $30 per member a month. Cursor's Pro plan costs the same as Replit Core, and its team tier is $40 per user. Per-user prices scale with headcount, so model the seat count before comparing a per-user tier with a flat one.

Video and voice tools

Video is the largest group, with ten tools. Pika's Starter plan is $10 a month ($8 billed annually), while Luma's Ultra plan is $300 a month, the highest video figure in the set. Synthesia's Starter plan is $29 a month and its Pro plan is $89. ElevenLabs Starter is $6 a month, and its Pro plan is $99 a month, or $82.50 billed annually.

Writing and meeting tools

Writing tools start between $6.99 and $69 a month. Wordtune's Advanced plan is $6.99 a month, or $4.89 billed annually. Copy.ai's Chat plan is $29 a month, and Jasper's Pro plan is $69 per seat, or $59 billed yearly. For meeting tools, Granola's Business plan is $14 per user, Fireflies Pro is $18 a month or $10 billed annually, and Fathom's Premium plan is $16 a month billed annually.

How to read the table

Read each row left to right: free plan first, then the price to start, then the price at the top of the vendor's range. A row marked "Only paid plan" has no higher tier, so its one paid price is the figure to budget from. The entry paid plan is the cost of starting, and the top listed plan is the cost of heavy use or team seats. Where a figure says "billed annually," the monthly cost is higher if you pay month to month. Vendors move plans between tiers and change limits, so check the vendor page before you buy. This page is refreshed every 60 days.

Not in this dataset

Seven widely used tools are missing: ChatGPT, Perplexity, Grok, Midjourney, Ideogram, Leonardo and Canva. The table includes a tool only when its USD price is confirmed on the vendor's own pricing page, so these get no figure here. Check each vendor's pricing page before you budget for one. Notion, DeepL and Adobe Firefly show only euro or lira prices, so they are left out for the same reason. Kling is also left out, and its own pricing explainer is Kling AI pricing.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI tools have a free plan in this dataset?

28 of the 37 tools have a plan priced at $0 on the vendor's page, including Claude, Mistral Le Chat, Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot and Pika. Free plans carry usage limits, so check the cap before you rely on one for daily work.

What is the cheapest paid AI subscription in this set?

Google AI Plus is the lowest entry paid plan at $4.99 a month, on the US plans page read on October 10, 2026. ElevenLabs Starter follows at $6 a month, then Wordtune Advanced at $6.99 a month.

How much does annual billing save?

Across the 21 tools with both a monthly and an annual entry price, the average saving is 27.7% a month and the median is 20%. Replit Core saves the least, at 10%, and Beautiful.ai's Pro plan saves the most, at 67.8%.

Do these prices include tax or usage charges?

No. The figures are US dollar list prices before tax. They exclude usage add-ons, extra credits, API charges and promotional first-month offers, any of which can change the real monthly cost.

Why are ChatGPT and Perplexity missing?

Neither had a USD price confirmed on its own pricing page on October 10, 2026, and the table includes a tool only when one is. Read their pricing pages directly for current figures.

How often is this page updated?

Every 60 days. Each price is verified again on the vendor page at that point, and the updated date changes when at least one figure moves.

How this data was measured

  • Source. Each tool's own pricing page, read on October 10, 2026. Google AI plan prices come from Google's US plans page read the same day.
  • Basis. US dollar list prices for individual plans, before tax. Usage add-ons, extra credits, API charges and promotional first-month prices are excluded.
  • Entry paid plan. The lowest paid individual plan on the page. Top listed plan. The highest individual plan with a price shown. Per-seat team plans appear with their seat basis.
  • Free plan. A tier priced at $0 on the page. A free trial alone is counted as trial only.
  • Annual-only prices. Where a page shows only an annual price (Elicit, Scite, Base44 and Suno), that figure is the entry price, and the table says so.
  • Statistics. Each median or average uses only the tools that show the price it needs: all 37 for entry prices, the tools with both a monthly and an annual entry price for annual savings, and the tools with both a monthly entry and a monthly top price for the top-to-entry ratio. Prices move faster than features, so this page is refreshed every 60 days.
