Pika Pricing 2026: Credits, Plans and Cost Per Clip

Pika pricing in 2026: Starter is $10/mo ($8 yearly), Creator $35 ($28), Fancy from $95. What each plan buys in credits, and what one clip really costs.

Pika Pricing 2026: Credits, Plans and Cost Per Clip

Pika costs $10 a month for Starter, $35 for Creator and from $95 for Fancy on monthly billing, or $8, $28 and from $76 a month billed yearly, per Pika's pricing page on October 19, 2026. A 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip spends 122 credits, about $1.36 on a monthly plan, and a Wan 3.0 clip about $0.37.

The price list is short, but two rules matter more than the sticker. Pika only grants a commercial license from Creator up, and every subscription buys credits at the same rate, so moving up a tier buys rights and speed rather than cheaper video.

AIpresso data: of the 148 AI video generation tools we track on Toolradar, the software directory we run, as of October 19, 2026, the 44 that publish a paid price have a median cheapest plan of $19.95 a month (Toolradar's AI video generation ranking). Pika's entry plan costs about half that median, yet its first commercial plan costs more. Pika's own listing is on Pika's Toolradar page.

Yearly billing saves 20% on every paid tier, according to Pika's plan table. All prices on this page were read on Pika's pricing page in October 2026.

How much does Pika cost per month?

Starter is the cheapest subscription, but Creator is the cheapest plan a business can use. The gap between them is the license, not the model list: Pika's plan table shows every tier, Free included, with access to all models and no watermark.

Starter runs 2 video jobs and 8 image or audio jobs in parallel, which suits personal projects and learning how prompts behave; anyone queuing a batch of renders will hit the two-video cap first. Creator more than triples the credit pool, raises parallel work to 8 videos and 32 image or audio jobs, and adds the commercial license, which makes it the real starting price for paid work. Fancy opens at 8,550 credits with unlimited parallel generations, a priority queue and the license, so it is priced for teams racing deadlines rather than for volume alone.

Fancy is a slider, not one plan: its monthly price climbs as high as $880 as the credit steps rise from 8.6k to 79k, so you pick the size that matches your output. Early access to new models sits inside Fancy too, but only from $440 a month, so the base Fancy tier does not include it.

What does one Pika clip cost in credits?

Pika prices each generation by model, and the spread is wide: 122 credits for a Seedance 2.5 clip against 33 for Wan 3.0. Pika publishes these figures itself, as an estimate of what a full monthly allowance makes on one model.

Model and output Credits per generation Starter (900) Creator (3,150) Fancy (8,550)
Seedance 2.5 video, 720p, 5 seconds 122 7 25 70+
Wan 3.0 video, 720p, 5 seconds 33 27 95 259+
Nano Banana 2 image, 1K 8 112 393 1,068+
GPT Image 2.5 image, 1K 2 450 1,575 4,275+

The model you pick changes your bill more than the plan you pick, so settle the model question with a few test renders before you size a plan. A Starter month makes only 7 Seedance clips, a weekend of experiments at most, while the same allowance makes 27 Wan clips. If Wan's output passes your brief, Starter stretches nearly four times further.

Pika adds that actual usage depends on your settings, so treat these counts as a ceiling for clean first takes. Every retry draws on the same pool, so budget for more than one take per finished clip.

The dollar cost of a clip, plan by plan

We turned Pika's credit counts into dollars. Every Pika subscription works out to about $1.11 per 100 credits on monthly billing and $0.89 on yearly billing, because Starter, Creator and Fancy scale price and credits in the same proportion. That makes Pika unusual: upgrading never lowers the price of a clip.

Output Monthly plan rate Yearly plan rate Smallest credit pack
Seedance 2.5 clip About $1.36 About $1.08 About $2.03
Wan 3.0 clip About $0.37 About $0.29 About $0.55
Nano Banana 2 image About 9 cents About 7 cents About 13 cents
GPT Image 2.5 image About 2 cents About 2 cents About 3 cents

These rates assume you spend the whole allowance. Plan credits refresh each billing period and do not roll over, so an unused half month doubles your real cost per clip. That is the number to watch, not the list price.

Compare like with like when you weigh billing terms. On monthly billing, a Seedance clip costs exactly the same on Starter as on Fancy. Yearly billing is the only lever that cuts the per-clip price, by the 20% Pika advertises.

Credit packs: when buying credits beats a plan

Packs cost 60 credits per dollar, a third less credit per dollar than a subscription, but they last 365 days. Pika sells them from $25 for 1,500 credits up to $1,000 for 66,000 credits, and the top pack carries a 10% bonus. Any plan can buy them, Free included, and a pack does not start a subscription.

Here is the break-even we worked out. Ten dollars buys 900 plan credits on Starter or 600 pack credits. If your typical month uses fewer than 600 credits, about 4 Seedance clips or 18 Wan clips, packs come out cheaper because nothing expires at the end of the month.

The catch is reach. Pika says top-up credits work only in Pika Create on pika.art and in its MCP connector, not in the API, the iOS app or the old site. And a pack on the Free plan still carries no commercial license, so packs suit hobby use, not client work.

Two buyer scenarios, priced from Pika's own numbers

A small brand making 20 Seedance clips a month for ads needs Creator, and it covers them with room to spare. Twenty clips at Seedance's per-clip rate come to 2,440 credits, so Creator's pool leaves 710 credits, enough for 5 retries, at Creator's list price on either billing term. Starter is out regardless of volume, since its plan carries no commercial license.

Push that brand to 30 clips and the math turns. Thirty clips need 3,660 credits, 510 more than Creator holds. Adding the smallest pack brings the month to $60 on monthly billing, well under Fancy's entry price, and the leftover pack credits carry into later months. Fancy pays off for its priority queue and unlimited parallel jobs, not for cheaper clips.

A hobbyist making a handful of clips each month fits the pack math above. The smallest pack covers 12 Seedance clips or 45 Wan clips and stays valid for a year, while Starter's allowance vanishes each month whether you use it or not. For someone who creates in bursts, that expiry is the real cost of a subscription.

Pika vs Runway and Kling on price

The three sell credits differently, so the useful unit is a finished short clip. Figures come from each vendor's own page, checked October 19, 2026.

Pika Runway Kling AI
Entry plan, monthly billing Starter, $10/mo Standard, $15/mo Standard, $6.99 first month, then $8.80/mo
Entry plan, yearly billing $8/mo $12/mo No yearly price in Kling's plan table
Entry credits per month 900 625 660
Short clip on entry plan, monthly About $1.36 (Seedance 2.5, 5s, 720p) About $1.44 (5s of Gen-4.5) About $0.27 (720p video, about 20 credits)
Commercial use on entry plan No, starts at Creator Not stated on the pricing page Yes, per Kling's plan table

Runway's figure comes from its own math, 625 credits for 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 on Runway's pricing page. Kling's comes from the 33 720p videos its Standard pool buys in Kling's credit-cost guide. The models differ, so read the row as budget direction, not a quality ranking.

Kling is the cheapest entry point for commercial clips; Pika is cheapest when Wan 3.0 is good enough. Runway's per-credit price falls as you move up its plans, the opposite of Pika. Our Runway vs Pika comparison works through price per second on each model, and the full plan detail sits in our Runway pricing and Kling AI pricing breakdowns. Runway's directory listing is on Runway's Toolradar page and Kling's on Kling AI's Toolradar page.

The rules that change your bill

  • No refunds on cancellation. You can cancel any time, the plan runs to the end of the period, then drops to Free.
  • Plan credits expire monthly. Pack credits expire 365 days after purchase.
  • Upgrades apply at once. Downgrades wait for the next billing period, and you can undo them until then.
  • The API is a separate product. The Pika API Club charges a monthly membership fee equal to Starter's monthly price, and returns the same amount as credit in the first month, per Pika's developer page, and app credits do not transfer to it.

The no-refund rule is the one that bites annual buyers. Yearly billing is the cheaper rate per clip, but you cannot recover the unused months if Pika stops fitting your work. Try a monthly plan for a cycle or two before you commit.

Which Pika plan should you buy?

Personal and learning use: Starter on monthly billing, or the smallest credit pack if you make fewer than about 4 Seedance clips a month. Neither allows commercial use.

Freelancers, creators with sponsors, small brands: Creator is the floor. It is the first plan with the commercial license, and yearly billing cuts each clip by a fifth once you know you will stay.

Studios and agencies with deadlines: Fancy, for the priority queue and unlimited parallel jobs. Size the slider to your real monthly volume, since bigger steps only add credits at the same rate.

Developers: the API Club, budgeted from its own rates rather than the app plans.

FAQ

How much does Pika cost in 2026?

Pika's Starter plan is $10 a month on monthly billing or $8 a month billed yearly, Creator is $35 or $28, and Fancy runs from $95 to $880 a month, or $76 to $704 yearly. Free costs nothing but includes no monthly credits. Prices were read on Pika's pricing page in October 2026.

Is Pika free?

Yes, Pika has a Free plan at $0, but it comes with 0 monthly credits. You buy credit packs to generate anything, starting at $25 for 1,500 credits. Free includes all models and no watermark, but no commercial license.

How many credits does a Pika video cost?

It depends on the model. Pika lists a 5-second 720p Seedance 2.5 clip at 122 credits and a 5-second 720p Wan 3.0 clip at 33 credits. On a monthly plan that is about $1.36 and $0.37 per clip, by our arithmetic from Pika's prices.

Can I use Pika videos commercially?

Only on Creator, Fancy or Enterprise. Pika's plan table marks the commercial license as not included on Free and Starter, so any client, ad or monetized work needs Creator or a higher plan.

Do Pika credits roll over?

Plan credits do not: they refresh each billing period and unused ones are lost. Credits bought as top-up packs carry over and expire 365 days after purchase, which makes packs the better buy for irregular use.

Is Pika cheaper than Runway?

At entry level, yes: Pika Starter costs a third less than Runway Standard's $15 on monthly billing, and a 5-second Seedance 2.5 clip on Pika costs a few cents less than 5 seconds of Runway Gen-4.5, about $1.44. Runway gets cheaper per credit on its larger plans while Pika's rate stays flat, so heavy users should compare at their own volume.

Does Pika refund unused months?

No. Pika says payments are non-refundable: cancelling keeps your plan active until the end of the period, then moves you to Free, with no refund for the remaining time.
