Copy.ai Pricing 2026: Chat, Workflows and Enterprise Costs
Copy.ai pricing in 2026: Chat is $29/mo for 5 seats ($24/mo yearly), workflow plans run $1,000 to $3,000/mo billed yearly, and Enterprise is custom.

Copy.ai costs $29 a month for its Chat plan billed monthly, or $24 a month billed yearly ($288 a year), and that one plan covers 5 seats. Workflow automation starts on Growth at $1,000 a month, billed $12,000 a year, with Expansion at $2,000 and Scale at $3,000 a month on the same yearly basis. Enterprise is custom. Prices read on 19 October 2026.
Our take: Copy.ai's pricing has two halves with nothing in between, and the gap is the story. The Chat plan is one of the cheapest shared AI workspaces you can buy for a small team, while the first plan that runs workflows costs about 34 times as much on monthly billing. Most buyers belong firmly in one half or the other, and the expensive mistake is drifting from the first into the second without a use case that pays for it.
Toolradar data: Toolradar, the software directory we run, tracks 139 AI writing tools as of 19 October 2026, and the median cheapest paid plan across the 48 that publish one is $18.50/mo. Copy.ai's Chat plan sits above that median for one login but far below it per seat. Copy.ai is also the third most cross-shopped tool in that category, listed as an alternative to 58 others.
Our Copy.ai review judges the product. This page is about the invoice: per seat, per credit and against the obvious alternatives.
How much does each Copy.ai plan cost?
All figures come from Copy.ai's pricing page. Only Chat has a Monthly and Annually toggle; the three workflow plans print a monthly figure that is billed as one yearly payment.
| Plan | Billed monthly | Billed yearly | Seats | Workflow credits a month | Who it suits |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Chat | $29/mo | $24/mo ($288/yr) | 5 | None listed | Small teams that want shared chat with several model families |
| Growth | Not offered | $1,000/mo ($12,000/yr) | 75 | 20,000 | Businesses ready to automate repeat GTM tasks |
| Expansion | Not offered | $2,000/mo ($24,000/yr) | 150 | 45,000 | Larger teams running more automation |
| Scale | Not offered | $3,000/mo ($36,000/yr) | 200 | 75,000 | Organizations rolling AI out across departments |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Custom | API access, bulk runs, 20+ integrations, guided implementation |
Growth can be bought from the page, while Expansion and Scale route you to Copy.ai's accounts team. Every plan lists unlimited words in Chat, so the meter that matters above Chat is workflow credits, not words.
The pricing page lists no free plan. A "Try for free" link at the top of the page starts a sign-up, but the page does not say what free access includes, so treat it as a trial of the product rather than a tier you can stay on.
Chat: what the cheapest plan buys a team of five
Chat is priced per workspace, not per person, and that is its whole appeal. On monthly billing that is $5.80 per person, or $4.80 per person on yearly billing. Each seat gets unlimited chat, unlimited chat projects and access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models from one window.
That per-seat figure is low against anything priced per user. A team that wants everyone on a paid assistant without five separate subscriptions and five expense lines is the buyer Chat is built for.
The limit is what Chat does not list. Its card shows no workflow credits, so the automation Copy.ai now markets (account research, lead processing, content pipelines run as multi-step workflows) is not part of the plan. Chat is a shared assistant, not the GTM platform on the rest of the page.
Yearly billing on Chat saves 20%, which is $60 a year at these prices. That is too small a saving to justify locking in early, so a team still choosing between assistants loses little by staying monthly for a few months. The page's FAQ says self-serve users can upgrade or downgrade at any time, with upgrades prorated for the rest of the month and downgrades credited on the next bill.

Workflow plans: Growth, Expansion and Scale
The jump from Chat to Growth is roughly 34-fold, with no plan in between. Growth buys 75 seats and 20,000 workflow credits a month, billed as a single yearly payment. Expansion doubles the price for 150 seats and 45,000 credits, and Scale costs half as much again as Expansion for 200 seats and 75,000 credits.
Seen per credit, the bigger plans are only slightly cheaper. Growth works out to 5 cents a credit, Expansion to about 4.4 cents and Scale to 4 cents. Per seat, Growth and Expansion both come to about $13.33 a month and Scale to $15.
That pattern says who each plan is for. Expansion and Scale are bought for credits, not seats: a company with 40 people who run heavy workflows gains more from Expansion's extra credits than from its extra 75 seats.
Copy.ai does not publish what a credit buys. The FAQ says a credit is an amount of compute, that each workflow run costs a different number of credits depending on its steps and output, and that you see the cost of a run in the app's "Credits used" panel. In practice you cannot turn 20,000 credits into a number of articles or account plans before you sign. Copy.ai's team scopes credits with you, and the FAQ says you can add credits later; the page prints no price for them.
So the honest budgeting method is a pilot. Run your two or three real workflows in a trial or a guided demo, read the credits each run uses, and multiply by the monthly volume before committing to a year of Growth.
What does Copy.ai cost compared with ChatGPT Plus and Jasper?
For a five-person team that only needs chat, Copy.ai is the cheapest of the three by a wide margin. The comparison below uses monthly billing on every product, read on 19 October 2026 on ChatGPT's pricing page and Jasper's pricing page.
| Five-person team, monthly billing | Monthly cost | What the team gets |
|---|---|---|
| Copy.ai Chat | $29 | 5 seats in one workspace, OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models |
| ChatGPT Plus, 5 subscriptions | $100 | 5 individual accounts at $20 each, OpenAI models only |
| Jasper Pro, 5 seats | $345 | 5 seats at $69 each, brand voices, marketing agents |
The Jasper row needs a caveat. Jasper's Pro plan includes one seat, and its FAQ points teams that want to add teammates to a workspace toward the Business plan, which has custom pricing, so five Pro seats is the floor of what Jasper would cost a team, not a quote. Our Jasper pricing page covers that plan in detail.
ChatGPT Plus is built for individuals, and OpenAI's own FAQ says so; five Plus accounts give five separate workspaces, not a shared one. The ChatGPT pricing breakdown covers the business tiers designed for teams.
What the table does not capture is depth. Five people paying for ChatGPT Plus get OpenAI's own advanced models and tools inside each account, and Jasper Pro adds brand voice controls built for marketing teams. Copy.ai Chat wins on price per head, not on the most capable model or the deepest marketing features.
Three Copy.ai budgets, worked out
These scenarios use only the prices Copy.ai prints and pick the cheapest plan that fits each team.
| Team | What they need | Plan | Yearly cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Three-person agency | Shared chat, no automation | Chat, billed yearly | $288 |
| Eight-person marketing team | Shared chat for everyone | Two Chat workspaces, billed yearly, if sold that way | $576 |
| 30-person sales and marketing org | Automated account research and content workflows | Growth | $12,000 |
The eight-person row is the cheap route on this page, with one condition. Chat caps at 5 seats, so a team of 8 needs either Growth or two Chat workspaces, which would cost $48 a month on yearly billing; confirm with Copy.ai that it sells a second workspace to the same company. The trade-off is two separate workspaces, so shared chat projects do not cross between them.
The 30-person row is where Copy.ai stops being cheap. Growth's 75 seats are far more than this team needs, which means it pays for 45 idle logins. That is acceptable only if the workflows replace real hours, and the credit pilot above is how you find out.
Is Copy.ai worth the price?
Copy.ai Chat is worth it for a small team that wants several AI model families under one cheap subscription and does not need automation. At under $6 a seat on monthly billing, it costs less than one ChatGPT Plus subscription for the whole team.
The workflow plans are worth it only for companies with defined, repeatable GTM processes and the volume to use thousands of credits a month. A five-figure yearly commitment with no published credit-to-output conversion is a bet on your own workflows, not on the product's list.
Because Chat routes you to Anthropic and Gemini models too, compare it with buying those assistants directly: our Claude pricing and Gemini pricing pages show what a direct subscription costs, and ChatGPT alternatives covers the wider field.
Writers who mainly need long-form drafting may be better served elsewhere: our best AI writing tools ranking, the Writesonic review, the Jasper review and the best free AI writing tools list cover the alternatives. How we checked these prices
Copy.ai's plans, seats, credits, billing terms and FAQ were read on 19 October 2026 on Copy.ai's pricing page. Competitor prices were read the same day on ChatGPT's pricing page and Jasper's pricing page. The Toolradar figures come from its AI writing category as of 19 October 2026.
Per-seat, per-credit and scenario figures are our arithmetic on those published prices, not quotes. We did not run workflows or measure credit use ourselves. Louis Corneloup, founder of Toolradar and Dupple, edited this page.

Is there a free Copy.ai plan?
The pricing page lists no free plan. It has a "Try for free" sign-up link, but it does not describe what free access includes or for how long, so plan on paying for Chat or a workflow plan to keep using Copy.ai.
How many users does Copy.ai Chat include?
Five. The Chat plan includes 5 seats in one workspace, which is $5.80 per person, or $4.80 per person on yearly billing. A team larger than five needs a second Chat workspace or a move to Growth, which includes 75 seats.
What are Copy.ai workflow credits?
Credits measure the compute a workflow uses, such as generating text, running internet research or scanning websites. Growth includes 20,000 credits a month, Expansion 45,000 and Scale 75,000. Copy.ai does not publish a fixed cost per workflow run; the app shows the credits each run used.
Can you pay for Copy.ai Growth monthly?
No monthly option is shown. Growth is listed at a monthly figure billed $12,000 a year, and Expansion and Scale follow the same yearly billing. Only the Chat plan offers a choice between monthly and yearly billing.
Is Copy.ai cheaper than ChatGPT?
For a team, yes. Copy.ai Chat covers 5 seats for $29 a month, while 5 ChatGPT Plus subscriptions cost $100 a month at $20 each. For one person, ChatGPT Plus costs less than a Chat workspace, though Copy.ai's single plan also gives access to Anthropic and Gemini models.
